Expertise

Climate change adaptation mainstreaming across government and development programmes, public policy engagement, monitoring and evaluation for adaptation, gender and climate change adaptation across sectors, resilience programming and evaluation, climate risk assessments.

Before IIED

Regional senior climate change and development advisor for sub-Saharan Africa with Ireland’s Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Development Cooperation Division; country coordinator, Africa Climate Change Resilience Alliance; advisor, gender, climate change and conflict management, Care International in Uganda; Government of Uganda

Current work

Leading the strategic direction and implementation of work addressing gender inequality, social exclusion and climate justice, supporting monitoring, evaluation and learning for adaptation and fostering spaces for learning.

Leading the strengthening partnerships team to facilitate and promote local to global knowledge exchange to catalyse effective action on climate change, ensuring that the voices of vulnerable and excluded groups are included in decision making; providing platforms for learning and sharing information, including grassroots voices; measuring adaptation and resilience effectiveness of the above processes and providing robust research evidence to high light gaps in equitable and just climate governance and decision making.
