Lessons Learnt Report Under the Food security and global framework for climate services, Irish Aid supported a pilot project: Improvement of Agro-meteorological and climate information to enhance agricultural productivity and food security in Tigray and Southern Nations, Nationalities and Peoples’ Region (SNNPR) of Ethiopia. The project, implemented in partnership with the World Meteorology Organisation, aimed at supporting the enhancement of climate and weather related services for the agriculture sector globally and in countries of interest to Irish Aid in Africa and Asia in the context of implementation of the global framework for climate services. This report captures the lessons learnt from piloting this project focusing on improving Agro-meteorological and climate information services to enhance agricultural productivity and food security in Ethiopia. The report focuses on the implementation modalities, before and after scenarios, key results, monitoring and learning, challenges, lessons learnt and conclusions to inform similar programmes in future.
