Enzo specialises in the intersection of energy access and sustainable development, focusing on people-centred energy models, energy planning, and integrating gender and energy justice into his work. His expertise includes developing inclusive business models, designing innovative financing schemes and conducting cross-sector analyses to identify priority needs for energy planning.

Before IIED

Enzo contributed significantly to various projects before joining IIED. He played a crucial role in designing and implementing Argentina's renewable energy plan, RenovAr, which increased the share of renewables in the country's electricity matrix, generating local employment and boosting local economies. 

Previously, as a consultant at the UN Environment Programme, he developed a toolkit for the Poverty-Environment Initiative, systematising experiences and capturing lessons learned from sustainable energy and environmental sustainability projects.

Current work

Delivering national and regional inclusive and cross-sectoral energy planning. Enzo's work involves conducting sector-specific analyses, engaging with stakeholders to develop and implement county energy plans, and leveraging finance to maximise impacts. 

He is also involved in research on energy access in urban displacement settings and integrating energy service delivery with climate resilience.
