Poor and vulnerable people are particularly affected by climate change impacts, such as floods, droughts and other extreme weather events.
For decades, IIED has worked to empower communities to adapt to climate change, and help share knowledge developed by local communities, academics and project managers so that communities can better cope with climate impacts, notably with an annual conference on community-based adaptation.
The 2024 conference, CBA18, takes place from 6 May to 9 May 2024 in Arusha, Tanzania.
