What works for women’s land rights?

This is a series of blogs, curated by IIED associate researcher Philippine Sutz, that took a close look at a range of identified principles that could improve women’s access to and control over land in the global South.

In this series, Sutz collaborated with women and men from partner organisations Tanzania Women Lawyers Association (TAWLA) and IED Afrique to progress the ongoing debate on what works and what doesn’t work to strengthen women’s land rights in sub-Saharan Africa.

The blogs collected lessons from six years of IIED’s work on gender and land issues. A new blog was posted every month focusing on a different aspect that could strengthen women’s right to land.
