We are an independent policy research organisation based in the UK and active in five continents through an extended network of partners. And as a growing organisation, we are often on the lookout for professional and creative people with a passion for our mission. Find out more about IIED.

IIED is seeking a senior researcher to join our team to lead our policy advocacy work on nature, climate and development. This post is a joint appointment between the instuitute's biodiversity team in the Natural Resources research group and our Climate Change research group. The focus of the role is on helping IIED increase its engagement with the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) and United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) processes and leading a series of high-profile events and communications.

Funding for the post is secure to April 2022, and to continue in the role beyond then the post-holder will be expected to contribute to fundraising efforts and develop new policy-focused work, as well as continuing to raise IIED and partner profiles in the climate and biodiversity policy arenas through policy engagement and policy-relevant research; stakeholder engagement and capacity development; and communications and advocacy. The deadline for applications is 6 August 2020.
