IIED is looking for a principal researcher to join the climate governance and finance team within the Climate Change research group. The team collaborates with public sector institutions, civil society actors and private sector entities in the developing world to design and test innovative solutions to climate change-related risks.

We are looking for an experienced researcher with significant experience working on climate adaptation or international development issues in least developed countries (LDCs), and a proven track record supporting national governments to access climate finance, develop equitable climate adaptation policies or build institutional capacities on climate adaptation. The deadline for applications is midnight on Wednesday, 26 January 2022.

IIED's climate governance and finance team is also seeking a senior coordinator with financial management experience and a background in the university or charity sector.

The selected candidate will ensure the effective implementation of a complex portfolio of international research and policy projects; manage the financial, contractual and organisational aspects of the projects; assist with the production of communications outputs and provide general support to the climate governance and finance team's programme of work. The deadline for applications is midnight on Wednesday, 26 January 2022.

A further seasoned policy and intersectional climate justice-related researcher is also sought to join the Climte Change research group.

The postholder will work with diverse partners in knowledge co-production and social learning to undertake and provide robust research evidence to highlight gaps in equitable and just climate governance. Using decolonial approaches that embrace gender, racial and climate justice and intersectionality considerations, they will contribute to research on equitable partnerships for just adaptation and transition. The deadline for applications is midnight on Sunday, 6 February 2022.

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, all roles will initially be remote based.
