We are an independent policy research organisation based in the UK and active in five continents through an extended network of partners. And as a growing organisation, we are often on the lookout for professional and creative people with a passion for our mission. Find out more about IIED.

IIED is seeking a researcher to work on energy finance. This involves in-depth primary research on the performance of innovative finance mechanisms in channelling funds to decentralised, green energy access projects.

This role in the Shaping Sustainable Markets research group builds on existing IIED research tracking energy finance flows and on the role of 'financial aggregators' in overcoming barriers to channelling investment to decentralised energy. Through research, workshops, stakeholder dialogue and communications, the work aims to increase understanding of effective investment models among energy access funders. The deadline for applications is midday on Monday, 19 March 2018.
