Before IIED
Before joining IIED, Rose worked as a consultant in the natural resources sector. She was also an Oxford policy fellow and a legal advisor embedded in the Ministry of Mines and Energy in Namibia. Prior to this, Rose was a practising attorney in Kenya focusing on commercial and conveyancing law practise.

Current work
Rose is a senior researcher within the law, economies and justice programme. Her focus is on sustainable natural resource development particularly initiatives geared towards strengthening land and land-based investment rights, governance and capacity.
