Expertise

A specialist in strategic and project communications, writing, editing and brand management. Rosalind leads and manages the content team at IIED, producing print and digital research content tailored for a range of audiences.

Before IIED

Communications leadership and management roles at the Marine Stewardship Council, the British Association of Settlements and Social Action Centres, Panos London, the Institute of Development Studies at Sussex University, Oxfam and Christian Aid. Also, four years commissioning corporate finance law books for Sweet & Maxwell and a UNITAR internship working on a legal document for developing countries renegotiating their international debt.

Current work

Leading on the Communications Group objective to create content for impact and influence. Leading communications for the REDAA programme and working on many other IIED projects, such as the Africa-Asia Blue Tech Superhighway programme with World Fish and Fairwater Footprints, as part of the Just Transition to Water Security programme, funded by the UK Government.

Previous projects include leading on a year-long communications campaign to raise the profile of IIED’s blue economy work; providing strategic communications support to a UNDP-PEI and Biofin project in the Kyrgyz Republic preparing and communicating a public private environmental expenditure review; programme manager of IIED's work with the World Bank WAVES partnership, supporting seven countries with strategic communications and engagement to institutionalise natural capital accounting; and working with eight African countries to integrate biodiversity conservation strategies into development policy.

Rosalind is also a member of IIED’s Research and Learning Committee and previously co-chair of the Gender Justice Network.
