IIED collaborated with Riinvest Institute in Pristina, Kosovo, in a World Bank-funded project to develop a community development framework and community development guidelines.
This project built on IIED's substantial experience working to analyse the public sector dimensions of efforts to encourage corporate social responsibility.
It also raised the question ‘how can public sector actors catalyse and incentivise business good practice for local community development'?
What did IIED do?
The final project report from November 2007 contains the community development framework, community consultation guidelines and accompanying implementation documents for Kosovo's Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources.
