This study aims to provide more information on the current tourism-related employment situation for people from frontline parishes and villages around Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, Uganda. Building on previous research carried out by IIED and partners, it presents employment and salary data from the tourist facilities around the park, and discusses the perceptions of tourism employers and the constraints they face in employing people from frontline parishes, frontline villages or different ethnic groups. It concludes by suggesting a number of strategies that lodge managers could employ to increase the number of local people employed. This publication is an output of the Poverty and Conservation Learning Group (PCLG), Uganda - Research Report
