Making sense together: the Ripples editshop
Written by the guest-editors of Participatory Learning and Action (PLA) 63, this article gives a valuable insight into the processes involved when putting together an issue of PLA - showing it is more than just a published journal, but rather an ongoing learning process for all concerned.
Having held a workshop earlier in the year to identify and share ideas for articles, a writeshop - or editshop - was held to enable others to feedback to the authors of PLA 63 and provide different visions for the issue as a whole.
The editing process confirmed the message of the articles and reflections contained in this special issue of PLA, and showed that participatory or collective processes of reflection, interpretation and sense-making can produce rich and unexpected learning.
