Assessing climate adaptation: aligning frameworks

The Paris Agreement of the UNFCCC requires all Parties to submit regular progress reports on climate action. Two other global initiatives, the Sustainable Development Goals and the Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction, also have monitoring and evaluation frameworks. And since UNFCCC Parties last met there is an Enhanced Transparency Framework.

These parallel requirements provide an unprecedented opportunity to align global M&E systems. At the same, time global climate funds have the opportunity to link their Results Measurement Frameworks (RMFs) with country-led reporting systems to better deliver effective adaptation M&E for learning.

A series of 'light touch' case studies to show how some countries are developing adaptation M&E for learning systems have been developed.
