Sydney is experienced in strategic development, cross-functional team leadership, and inclusive stakeholder engagement in a diverse range of contexts.
She is adept at managing complex projects, budgets and communication strategies in research-focused environments, as well as mainstreaming gender and social inclusion within the projects that she leads.

Before IIED
Sydney designed and oversaw a spectrum of research and action projects, varying in scale and implemented across diverse contexts. Her portfolio includes successfully upscaling two alliance initiatives, notably the Adaptation Research Alliance and leading the Grassroots Action Research micro-grants.
Her project management experience spans a wide array of thematic areas, encompassing climate finance and adaptation, green small and medium enterprises, youth work, gender-based violence and economic justice.
