Former journalist with 10 years' experience of reporting and editing.

Before IIED

Most recently, Jon worked for The Independent as a digital editor, focused on engaging and retaining readers. Before that, he was a general news reporter and homepage editor.

Prior to The Independent, he worked for Newsquest South London as content editor on two local newspapers; previously he had been a senior reporter there.

Before his journalism career, he taught English as a foreign language.

Current work

Jon's role focuses on exposing the 'hidden handbrakes' that are preventing the world from tackling climate change.
