Anaa is experienced in climate change adaptation, mitigation, finance, policy and sustainable development. Her experiences include government roles in climate finance, policy, adaptation and mitigation, project management, collaborations with international development partners and active engagements with the UN climate change processes. 

She consults on climate and sustainable development projects with expertise in designing and delivering research, particularly in the context of adaptation and resilience building, with an emphasis on Small Island Developing States.

Current work

Locally led adaptation to climate change; adaptation finance in Small Island Developing States and Least Developed Countries; researching the resilience of islander food systems with a focus on case studies of the Maldives (PhD).
