Press release, 04 March 2024

“What’s often obscured in the talk about u-turns or clever accounting by politicians is the human cost of climate change.

“People in the global South are already dying or seeing their livelihoods destroyed because of this phenomenon which, we must remember, they have done little or nothing to cause. Money from historic polluters in the rich world is desperately needed to help those most at risk adapt to rising temperatures and increasingly extreme weather.

“If Britain wants to continue claiming a spot in the vanguard of the climate battle it must do everything it can to help, and deal honestly with the countries worst affected by global warming.”
