Chris Austin

Chris Austin CBE has over 20 years’ experience in senior public sector roles, specialising in economic and social development and international negotiations.
He has managed large and diverse teams in the UK and overseas; delivered multi-million pound development programmes; helped design and implement change programmes; and provided candid, objective advice to ministers.

Current work
Chris is a member of the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy [non-practicing].
He is trustee/non-executive director of non-profit charities working in international development and an adviser to the Africa Scotland Business Network.
Chris is also an active supporter of the MCC Foundation, which brings cricket to boys and girls across the UK and through international partners. He is passionate about sharing his experience to support economic and social development – helping people improve their quality of life – including where sport can be a key ingredient.
