Before IIED
Nwanneka has held key roles at IO Furniture Ltd and Sterling Bank, including digital ecommerce and branding manager, project manager, and customer service manager. She managed multiple projects, led cross-functional teams, revitalised customer service operations and implemented a comprehensive feedback system.

Current work
Since joining IIED in September 2023, Nwanneka has excelled as a facilities coordinator, where she had been instrumental in coordinating operational and facilities services, developing strategic plans, monitoring environmental impact and providing comprehensive support to staff and service providers.
In June 2024 She has recently transitioned into the role of project manager in Natural Resources research group. In this capacity, she is now focused on overseeing a portfolio of projects that advance rights, equity, and locally led action in nature conservation.
