IIED and the LDC (Least Developed Countries) group are organising a two-part webinar series on LDCs' experiences in preparing their Biennial Transparency Reports (BTRs), in particular, the adaptation and loss and damage sections.

The BTR is the primary vehicle for countries to present information on climate action and support under the Paris Agreement. For LDCs, whose vulnerabilities to climate change are significant, reporting on adaptation and loss and damage remains key.

With the second round of BTRs approaching and given that two-thirds of LDCs are still preparing their BTR, it is timely to create an opportunity to learn from these frontrunner countries on their challenges and good practices. Sharing their experiences can offer ideas and concrete examples to other countries with less experience on BTR preparation and to understand the resources, technical expertise and institutional arrangements needed.

These one-hour webinars will follow a panel format, with LDC representatives sharing their experiences and answering questions from the audience. They will include simultaneous interpretation in English and French.
