Help us tackle the complex and little-known barriers preventing climate action
The United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) binds over 190 countries to work together to tackle climate change. Each year the parties to the convention meet to review progress. The 28th Conference of Parties (COP28) took place in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, from 30 November to 12 December, 2023.
IIED researchers and partners led and presented at events throughout COP28. Our key areas of focus were debt relief for climate and nature, locally led adaptation and finance, and supporting negotiators from the least developed countries.
