Video update from the UN climate negotiations: "Theatre from the Canadians"

30 November 2011

In his third video update Saleemul Huq, IIED’s Senior Fellow in the Climate Change group, reports from Durban. Statements of groups and countries are being read, and lots of side events are taking place. He also comments on a recent Canadian government announcement that they will withdraw from the Kyoto protocol: “We had a bit of theatre from the Canadian govt who made an announcement that they would drop from the Kyoto protocol, which would be an extremely bad sign.”
