Review of approaches to partnerships, governance and operation - informing the development of a global forest partnership

This report is an annex to the results of an independent consultation by IIED, conducted in 2007-08 to assess the World Bank’s preliminary idea of a new global forest partnership. The annex explores some of the diverse types of existing forest partnerships and the lessons that can be learned from them. Drivers, principles and processes for a new type of forest partnership are outlined as well as the added value that such a partnership could bring and some of the constraints it may face.
