Good practice case studies showing solutions for getting climate finance to local communities on the frontlines of climate impacts

IIED is exploring ways of getting climate finance to local communities.

These case studies of good practice focus on mechanisms that support access to land and resources and fund local level climate action, while building community capability over the long term.

This is part of work to remove the barriers that stop climate finance reaching the people most vulnerable to climate change. 

The focus is on the value, blocks and solutions to community funds supporting climate action to clarify community rights to resources. IIED is working to strengthen collaboration with these funds and between donors, financial intermediaries, fund aggregators and high- and low-tech innovators.
