The Initiative for Effective Adaptation and Resilience (LIFE-AR) is seeking a head of delivery for climate resilience in least developed countries (LDCs), on two-year fixed-term contract. 

As head of delivery, the postholder will be a senior member of the LIFE-AR secretariat responsible for providing strategic and technical leadership to LIFE-AR countries in delivering the LDC 2050 Vision for LDCs. They will contribute to the initiative’s strategy, providing politically astute, sound technical advice and support to strengthen LDC capabilities, institutions and systems on effective adaptation and resilience and documenting the LIFE-AR impact.

Experience of participatory action-research and the governance of locally-led climate adaptation and resilience is required, as is experience of working in diverse contexts and institutional settings, including with LDC governments across countries. The deadline for applications is midnight on Monday, 8 April, 2024.

Following the COVID-19 pandemic, all roles are currently remote based.
