Video: Global Food and Farming Futures Foresight report

A new report looks at the global food system between now and 2050, issues of supply and demand and governance and some of the challenges that need tackling.

At the start of the Second Global Conference on Agricultural Research for Development (GCARD2) in Uruguay, Camilla Toulmin, the director of IIED, and Charles Godfrey, director of the Oxford Martin Programme on the Future of Food, discuss the Global Food and Farming Futures Foresight report.

The report looked at the global food system between now and 2050, issues of supply and demand and governance and some of the challenges that need tackling.

The GCARD2 conference will be discussing some of the insights to come out of the foresight report in order to agree collective actions and next steps on agricultural research and development.
