Nadine Benson

Coordinator, Strategy and Learning

Nadine Benson is a data and evaluation specialist with five years' experience supporting projects across the nexus of development and humanitarianism. Her work has explored the integration of artificial intelligence in humanitarian interventions, innovations in post-disaster needs assessments, and participatory and community-led frameworks for monitoring, evaluation and learning. She has a particular interest in intersectional and decolonial approaches to humanitarian intervention, and in the integration of Indigenous knowledge and land governance for climate resilience.

Current work

Nadine currently works in project and financial coordination for the Strategy and Learning Group, and on a range of MEL projects institutionally. Outside of IIED, Nadine also works as senior emergency response officer for the British Red Cross, where she focuses on emergency response planning and building community resilience across the city of London.
