Current work
Marika is based in the global climate law, policy and governance team in IIED's Climate Change research group, providing demand-led support to LDCs to achieve equitable and ambitious outcomes in the UNFCCC negotiations.
The team’s key areas of work include climate diplomacy, capacity building, national implementation of the Paris Agreement and logistical support to negotiators.
Marika is responsible for overseeing the operational aspects of the team's work programme including managing funder and partner relationships, human and financial resources, achievement of milestones, business development processes, risk and compliance.
Marika is a trained mental health first aider and is committed to fostering a culture of wellbeing and equity at work.
