Fiona Roberts

Programme manager, Climate Change (finance and governance)

Expertise

Fiona’s experience spans the international development, environment, and university sectors. She has a strong understanding of the context of each of these sectors, and expertise that includes project management and resourcing, financial management and reporting, donor compliance, and communications.

Before IIED

Before moving to the Climate Change research group, Fiona was a programme manager in IIED’s biodiversity team in the Natural Resources research group.

Other previous roles have included research and research management at UCL (University College London); and campaigns, communications and project management at Oxfam, Friends of the Earth, and Panos London.

Education

MSc development studies, SOAS, University of London

Current work

Fiona is programme manager for the climate finance and governance team in the Climate Change research group, working alongside team leader Simon Addison. She is responsible for managing all the operational aspects of the team including human and financial resources, business development processes, risk and compliance.
