Road to Paris video series: the Least Developed Countries' perspective (episode 4)
Ahead of the UN climate talks in Paris in December 2015, a series of experts provide an insight into the perspectives of the Least Developed Countries on key aspects of the UNFCCC process as they seek a fair agreement for the poor and vulnerable.

The Road to Paris video series was launched by IIED on 30 November to coincide with a month to go before the start of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) Conference of the Parties meeting in Paris (COP21).
The first interview was with Saleemul Huq, senior fellow at IIED and director of the Bangladesh-based International Centre for Climate Change and Development (ICCCAD), who gave an overview of the UNFCCC process and issues facing the Least Developed Countries (LDCs).
"This series of video blogs will highlight different aspects of the Paris agreement," he said. "But the unique feature will not just be explaining what is going to happen in Paris, but explaining it from the perspective of the most vulnerable countries."
After the introduction, the first subject covered in the series was loss and damage, the second looked at adaptation, and the third, with IIED principal researcher Achala Abeysinghe, focused on why a legally binding agreement is essential.
Future topics are planned to include the ambition and priorities of the LDCs, and the temperature target.
