Regoverning Markets publications
The Regoverning Markets project focused on corporate concentration in the global food sector and its consequences for sustainable development, the goal was to secure more equitable producer and trade benefits in response to the dynamic changes in agrifood market restructuring. It was a multi-partner collaborative research programme made up of a consortium of some 20 research organisations and funding agencies.

Inclusive Business in Agrifood Markets: Evidence and Action. This report is based on proceedings of the conference 'Inclusive Business in Agrifood Markets: Evidence and Action' - held in Beijing, 5-6 March 2008. Over 130 participants from 31 countries, representing farming, policy, agrifood business, research and civil society met to assess how modernization of the food system can include and benefit small-scale farmers.
Chain-Wide Learning for Inclusive Agrifood Market Development. This guide provides concepts and tools for working with actors along the entire value chain so that modern markets can be more inclusive of small-scale producers and entrepreneurs
Opportunities for small-scale producers' inclusion in dynamic markets in developing countries and transition economies. The objective of the workshops was to open up the space for dialogue on the key issues and opportunities that currently, or could in the future, exist, and be further developed for enhanced participation in modern agrifood markets by small-scale producers and entrepreneurs. A key focus of these workshops was to build up single stakeholder voice and views and to bring together the views and opinions of multiple stakeholders.

Reconnecting Markets Innovative Global Practices in Connecting Small-Scale Producers with Dynamic Food Markets The rapid changes taking place in the structure and governance of national and regional agri-food markets in developing countries seriously affect the ability of agriculture, especially small-scale agriculture, to contribute to economic growth and sustainable development. Reconnecting Markets focuses on the keys to inclusion of small-scale farmers and rural SMEs into dynamic national and regional markets
Making a difference This paper reviews the extent to which the Regoverning Markets (RM) programmes' outputs and activities have contributed directly and indirectly to the wider vision of more secure and enhanced inclusion of small-scale producers and small- and medium-scale entrepreneurs in dynamic modern agrifood value chains. It focuses specifically on domestic and regional agrifood markets within developing and emerging market-economy countries.
Standard bearers: Horticultural exports and private standards in Africa Standard bearers looks at actual evidence of smallholder exclusion and the costs and benefits of inclusion in demanding export markets. It also explores opportunities to adapt requirements and develop approaches with lower costs to make private standards more beneficial to, and inclusive of, small-scale growers
