During registration for the 11th International Conference on Community-Based Adaptation to Climate Change (CBA11), which takes place in Uganda from 26-29 June 2017, you will be asked if you are interested in presenting a poster or film at the conference, or if you would like to be a panellist or discussant.

Please provide as much information as you can online about what you wish to share, and one of the conference organisers will contact you about participating.

The CBA11 partners are committed to promoting sustainable development. In order to reduce the carbon footprint of the conference, we are strongly encouraging participants to avoid distribution of printed publications and increase electronic distribution where appropriate.

Poster exhibition

CBA conferences feature a popular exhibition of posters describing research projects. These posters can be a great way to share your work. The posters need to be submitted by email to before 31 May to be approved before the exhibition.

The poster submission guidelines (PDF) set out the full details. If your poster is accepted for the exhibition, you will be asked to present for roughly two minutes about your poster content during a plenary session.

Presenting films

There will be at least one session presenting a series of short films (lasting a maximum of five minutes each) curated by CBA organisers. By submitting a film, you agree to have your film made accessible on IIED's YouTube channel. Please submit films via WeTransfer to before 19 May.
