Current work

Catherine is a qualified project and programme manager with a legal background specialising in implementing strategic initiatives at scale.

Her latest work involved setting up and acting as interim chief operating officer for IIED Europe, a new European organisation based in the Netherlands. She has also worked on designing and implementing organisational change at IIED and managed the data protection compliance function since 2018.

Catherine is currently leading on the transition of the Least Developed Countries (LDC) Initiative for Effective Adaptation and Resilience (LIFE-AR) secretariat, housed by IIED, to a new independent LIFE-AR facility.

LIFE-AR is an LDC-led, LDC-owned initiative with the objective of developing long-term climate adaptation interventions to deliver investments behind the priorities of local actors, strengthen national institutions, domestic systems and capabilities, and influencing the global climate finance architecture to better support LDCs.
