George Jamiya is a Tanzania Natural Resources Forum (TNRF) board member, and Governance Advisor to the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) Coastal East Africa Initiative.
In these four short video clips, he speaks of the opportunities and challenges that Tanzania faces in relation to its environment and development.
The clips were recorded in September 2011 at the annual IIED strategy conference, held in the UK.
TNRF is a collective civil society-based initiative to improve natural resource management and conservation in Tanzania by addressing fundamental issues of governance. TNRF views the quality and equity of governance as fundamentally determining how natural resources are managed and how they support the livelihoods of Tanzanians and the sustainable economic development of the country.
TNRF have worked in partnership with IIED on issues including: Pastoralism, Land rights, and Communications.
