Who wants fair trade timber?

An international workshop (Edinburgh, 1 October 2007) examined evidence of demand for new mechanisms to distinguish and thereby reward 'community' forest products in the market.

Company responses from 21 countries, alongside four detailed country cases, show substantial demand to open up new consumer options, both within and between existing forest certification and fair trade schemes.
