Theme: Supporting Sustainable Development Decision-Making Project name: Sustainable Financing of Natural Resource Management Dates/Duration: 2002-2004 Project purpose The project aims to provide practical guidance to development practitioners and donor agencies on how to ensure sustainable financing for environmental projects. Focus In collaboration with WWF–MPO Maryanne Grieg-Gran conducted a survey of best practice in sustainable financing of natural resource management. Guidelines for development practitioners and donor agencies were drawn up, based on recent on-the-ground experiences and literature concerning sustainable financing in the context of poverty reduction and conservation of biodiversity.
